I'm so excited to share this video from Amber and Andrew's Ojai Valley Inn and Spa Wedding.  They were among some of the funniest, kind, and warm people I've ever worked with, and their wedding was Ah.Maze.Ing.  Just watch to see for yourself!

Feeling a little Mad(Men)-ish this afternoon...

Confession: I've only watched a few episodes of "Mad Men." There. I've said it. It's on my Netflix list, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. However, I'm "mad" about the wardrobe and styling, and love seeing designers incorporate this style into their collections.

Happy Friday!  Here's to getting around to a few more episodes this weekend! Enjoy!

Tuesday....it's all about the Shoes

Sunday = Funday.  And then there's manic Monday.  Tuesday...well, Shoes-day, of course!

For years I was all about silver...silvery jewelry, silver accessories, silver touches in my home, but I've turned  a proverbial corner and now it's all about the gold.  So, what better way to kick-off Tuesday Shoes-day with these golden lovelies....behold....

Wouldn't it feel decadent to float down the aisle in these beauties on your wedding day?  I'd wear them with a simple chiffon halter gown and an armful of golden bangles.

Happy Shoes-day!

Wedding Dress Wednesday - Grand Entrances and Exits

When shopping for your wedding dress, of course you should look for a dress that will frame you beautifully as you make your grand entrance toward the altar, but what about once you get there?  As I was looking through my Dreamy Dresses board on Pinterest, I noticed that almost every dress I pin is beautifully adorned, many of them with spectacular back details, and thought I would share some of the dreaminess.   What dress details most often catch your eye?
Yes, I know this is a front shot, but (1) what a GRAND entrance this would make (and I just KNOW is has an amazing back), and (2) it's Elie Saab, and I can never get enough of his stunning creations.
Happy Wednesday!

A sneak peek.....

Hi Friends!  Seems like I've been away forever, but I'm back!  And, I'm happy to report that it's official - we were married last week in beautiful San Francisco - so we're officially Mr. and Mrs!  I'm thoroughly enjoying calling him my husband now!

Photos to come soon, but in the meantime, a sneak peek of my hair and makeup.  Mei of Triple Twist Hair and Makeup in San Francisco did an amazing job.  The hair was literally a last minute decision and I could not have been happier with the final result.  Thank you Mei!

And, see those pins in my hair - I made those!  A how-to tutorial is in the works.  They were super-easy to make and I loved how they looked.

Happy Friday!

I Love Mondays - Ombre!

Hello Friends!  I want to wish you all a Happy 2012 - but it's almost embarrassing to do so since January is practically over!  Where have I been?  I've been here and there, planning weddings, meeting brides and grooms, exploring new and exciting venues, and putting the final touches on my own wedding, too!  So, embarrassed or not, I do wish you a fabulous new year!
I'm finally back to blogging, too, and wanted to kick-off the new year with an emerging trend in the wedding industry - ombre!  When I first noticed the ombre trend trickling into weddings, I was not sure the direction it would take.  Now, though, I'm really loving it.  It feels fresh and fun.  It lends itself to casual or super elegant, and everything in-between.  You can flirt with ombre, such as with the flower arrangements shown below, or you can go all out with an ombre wedding dress.  The color (spectrum!) is yours to play with.
LOVE this ombre-inspired centerpiece.
I'm particularly fond of ombre bridesmaid dresses - the look is unified without being matched exactly.
ombre - loosened up.
The ombre-effect in hair highlights is really hot in Hollywood right now.

And if you want to take the look from top to tip, ombre nails!  I think this would look really fun on toes too!

Thank you all for sticking with me, and check back soon for regular updates!
